"Today, a bi-partisan group of representatives introduced the first federal bill since 1937 aimed at ending marijuana prohibition. To coincide with the bill’s introduction NORML is launching a new public service announcement featuring NORML Advisory Board member, country music icon, and cannabis enthusiast Willie Nelson. In the video below, Willie calls on you to support this important legislation and to contact your elected officials and encourage them to do the same."
I'm really thrilled that Congress is taking a serious look at this issue. I thought it was all but impossible to breach the subject with lawmakers. There was a petition that was sent to the United Nations 2 months ago asking for a global end to the war on drugs. Perhaps that was more effective that I thought it would be?
Here's hoping for some progressive Marijuana Legal Reform.

CNN opinion article on Trump.
The article below is long overdue in my opinion. In a lot of ways, most of the content is more fact than opinion. I would hate to have this man represent America.
Martin: America, I apologize for Donald Trump
In actual news, world media continues to focus on America and its awakened hunt for military targets resulting from intel taken from Osama's compound. Some officials have indicated that potential plans to target US railway systems as well as other plans for violent actions have been uncovered.
In response to the raid, Pakistani citizens have gathered in protest, with some calling for violence against the US embassy.
Hopefully I will have some relevant stats available by tomorrow.

Here is a new BBC article confirming the above information.

Shooting from the Hip
I hate this, but I’m not gonna post the stooped ideas about Libya, cause there not really worth everyone’s time. I wanna talk about the big stuff. Gaddamn Mr. Osama bin-Obama. I didn’t care much for him as a news item in the slightest until everyone saying that is big news really struck me: everyone is looking at the US as a genuine piece of news instead of as the elephant in the room (nobody wants to talk to, but kinda has too cause this elephant is blocking the snack table). People have been asking about some kind of permanent military policy from America. Will the people of America let history remember it as warlike or as a glorious economic empire? If we all act according to the truth we want to see in our country, even at the expense of our popularity, tomorrow glorious dawn might just shine brighter than the last. And unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot. It's aren’t going to get better. It's not.

Obama v. Osama: wet t-shirt contest
Hitler’s death and the end of WWII? I’ll drink to that, but to some separatist leader in the desert? I guess it’s just not as exciting.
It’s terrible, but on the same token I am glad that the US had some balls to drop in and kill someone they wanted to with ‘intimate’ force. No tactical bombings, just a classic firefight where a predetermined target got snuffed. If he were captured alive, there would be back and forths about the ethics of detaining someone, even a ‘bad guy’ and a trial and so much pandering to the world’s sentiments for justice and mercy. There is no chance to have a drawn out discussion when he was dead before most people even knew we was still at large.
Still, I don’t feel that this is something worth celebrating. It just seems like a sour victory….or I’m just moody before my mourning coffee kicks in.
Libyan commentary to follow this week!

Holy Crap
EASTER
I am not a fan of Easter. Mainly cause I left my church for a reason and don’t want to have religious events be a part of my schedule any more. Also, I’m uncomfortable at family gatherings. I don’t know why. Does anyone else get that feeling?
What isle is new….I did some yard work today, used a pole saw to shape up some trees. Pretty satisfying work, actually. Not something I’d want to do every day, but it’s kinda relaxing in a weird way.
In the news….some dictator resigned recently. Some guy from Syria? Lebanon? Hell if I know. Chances are it’s in North Africa.
I have been doing a TON of research on Libya recently and have made some small conclusions based on that which I will reveal in the next few days.
